Saints Prevail, 3-2, Over Kingwood
|
Kingwood got a terrific performance from pitcher Jordan Narcisse, but it wasn't enough to beat the St. Paul Saints. St. Paul won the Saints Ballpark contest, 3-2. Narcisse was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball. Jeff Kling picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-0. He struck out 7 in 7 innings. Jake Harvey recorded the save for St. Paul, his 8th of the season.
Mike Weathers aided the St. Paul cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the pinch hitter went 1-1 with a double.
"We put together a nice win," Weathers said.
St. Paul leads the TMLA Dick Williams Division by 3½ games.
