A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Niagara Falls Barrels and Kingwood Knights.

The Niagara Falls Barrels defeated the Kingwood Knights, 9-7, in 11 innings at Stable Park. Sam Kowalski, who is tied for 8th in the RA in bases on balls with 26, was a standout performer for Niagara Falls. His 2 hits included 1 single and 1 double -- this in addition to the 1 run he scored and 4 he knocked in. Armando Diaz snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-1 on the season. Allen Justice suffered the loss.

The game was all tied up in the top of the 11th, until Kowalski delivered big-time for Niagara Falls, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Allen Justice. The game-changing hit put the Barrels on top, 9-7.

Kowalski told a Niagara Falls Daily reporter that he felt "ecstatic" after the win.

With the win over Kingwood, the Barrels improved to 17-16.
