Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Bloomington Blazers and Bighorn Bison.

The Bloomington Blazers beat the Bighorn Bison, 15-7, at Arson Arena. Bloomington third baseman Billy Santos had an outstanding performance. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Bloomington pitcher Jared Simms got the win, upping his record to 1-1. Jeff Lee got the loss.

Jeremiah Donahoo had a big 3-run home run for the Blazers in the bottom of the second inning. With Bloomington trailing 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a slider from Jeff Lee, who finished 5th in the RCL in wins with 13 last year, and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Blazers on top, 3-2.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Donahoo, "and then get after it again."

Bloomington is now 25-20, Bighorn 22-24.
