Lévy Pops Two Homers in 5-1 Win for Campo
|
The Campo NoBos topped the Brownsville Bandits, 5-1, with youngster Philippe Lévy playing a key role. Lévy went 3-3 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the NoBos in the win. Picking up the win was Luis Vargas. He went 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits. The right--hander struck out 8 and walked 2. Vinny Bustos recorded the save for Campo, his 2nd of the season.
Lévy had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a full count fastball from Luis Barreras, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the NoBos a 4-1 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Lévy.
"This team is real focused right now," said Campo manager Max Marinelli.
Campo is now 21-16, Brownsville 22-15.
