The Ocala Knights downed the Carmel Apples, 5-2, at Levitow Park. Ben Rudkin led the way, going 3-for-4 for Ocala. Scott Simpson earned the win to go to 4-0. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work. John Cochrane sewed up the save, his 9th.

Rudkin had a game-changing double in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-1 sinker from Willis Paulino, he banged a run-scoring double to left-center, giving the Knights a 3-2 lead. It was the 6th double of the year for Rudkin.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Rudkin.

The loss drops Carmel to 19-12.
