Eric Engel, who is tied for 4th in the RCL in wins with 5, was terrific for the Dallas Texans in his team's 7-0 triumph over the Eureka Hornets. His performance earned Engel rave reviews. Dallas is 27-19 and Eureka, with the loss, 29-16.

Juan Serrato had a big 2-run home run for the Texans in the bottom of the third inning. With Dallas leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a changeup from Harley Lowrie, who is tied for 2nd in the TML in strikeouts with 50, and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Texans on top, 3-0.

"I liked his command," said Dallas manager Lester Burrow. "Eric was throwing strikes."
