The Mexico City Luchadores defeated the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 7-1, in Roberto Clemente League action at Field de Los Layendas. Mexico City pitcher Alberto Candelaria had a standout performance. The Luchadores now have a record of 19-32.

The Luchadores got a big at-bat from left fielder Gabe Bourdeau. For the game, Bourdeau went 1 for 4 with a home run. In the top of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Mexico City a 2-1 lead.

Said losing manager Labib Sarahani: "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."
