Moorman Shines in 11-9 Marshall Win
Marshall first baseman Dave Moorman had 5 ribbies while helping his team defeat the San Antonio River Bandits, 11-9. The win went to Doug Pennington in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Manny Conejo took the loss. Sam Conner earned his 5th save, after closing out the game.

With Marshall leading 7-6 in the top of the seventh, Moorman hit a 2-run single off San Antonio hurler Bobby Cintron. It was the 22nd hit of the season for Moorman and put his team ahead, 9-6.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Moorman.

The Lawmen, now 22-7, have hit the ground running this season.
