Mustangs Fight for 6-5 Win
The San Angelo Mustangs outlasted the Ottawa Civics in an extra-inning thriller.

San Angelo overcame a superior effort from Jonathan Minns to beat Ottawa, 6-5, in 12 innings. The Ottawa pitcher threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball. The win went to Luis Segarra in relief, making him now 3-1. Greg Pond took the loss for Ottawa.

The decisive blow was delivered by Andres Angon in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a run-scoring double off 21-year old right-handed pitcher Ben Waite to win the game for San Angelo. The home crowd went nuts.

"This ballpark was lit," Angon said.

The Mustangs have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 9th win in 31 games.
