Moran has 5 RBI to Ignite Eclipse Offense
|
The Chicago Eclipse powered past the Houghton Gremlins, 12-6, at Golden Goebels Park. Dan Moran provided some of the pop. He went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 5. The winner in relief was Travis Wilson. He is now 2-0. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2 innings. The Eclipse now have a record of 22-22 with the win over Houghton.
In the top of the first, Israel Cardenas delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Chicago center fielder hit a 2-run single, putting the Eclipse in front, 12-6.
Said losing manager Dane Freeman: "These are the grinding hard days that all good teams go through, and this is when we've got to stick together and believe in one another."
