Five O's Take Tight Tilt, 5-4
|
The Oconomowoc Five O's had to overcome a fine effort from Charleston pitcher Joey Lizotte to win, 5-4, in 12 innings at Arnold Field. Lizotte went 8 innings and allowed 4 runs. Andres de Jesus snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits over 1.2 innings. He's now 1-1 on the season. The Panthers continue "in the red" at 11-17.
The decisive blow was delivered by Oscar Dalton in the bottom of the fifth when he hit a bases-clearing double off 22-year old right-handed pitcher Joey Lizotte to win the game for Oconomowoc. The home crowd went nuts.
"We had the eye of a tiger tonight," said winning manager Evan Thorne.
