Brownsville left fielder Ramon Rivera was sensational. He was 4-6 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 and driving in 5. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Moonbeam beat the Bandits, 9-8, in 10 innings. Ken McCann collected his 1st save. The win has Moonbeam at 28-3.

Paul Paolini went 2 for 4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs for Moonbeam. The 20-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the tenth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 8-8 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Steve Cox. It was his 30th RBI of the season.

"It was terrific getting this win," Paolini said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
