Jedi Knights Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Crabs
|
The New Orleans Jedi Knights and Edisto Crabs completed their game despite the rain.
Pitcher Luis Salgado was sensational for the New Orleans Jedi Knights in his team's 5-0 triumph over the Edisto Crabs. Salgado received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. In 6.1 innings, Salgado surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 4. He allowed no runs.
The outcome was still in doubt in the top of the seventh inning. With the bases loaded and Edisto trailing 2-0, Alvaro Morales needed to get a big out. On a 0-1 fastball, Ricardo Lamas flied out, putting the kibosh on a potential rally.
With the loss, Edisto sinks to 16-15.
