Vikings Collect 7-4 Win Versus Kingwood
The Victoria Vikings picked up a win at Stable Park, knocking off the Kingwood Knights, 7-4. Starting pitcher Jermão Corvite was a big reason why. Corvite, now 3-0, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. Victoria is now 16-9.

Victoria used a clutch at-bat from Matt Cochran to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Vikings ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Jermão gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Victoria skipper Jim Edwards.
