The Ottawa Civics defeated the Ocala Knights, 8-2, in part because of second baseman Bobby Krebsbach. Krebsbach was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Civics. The win gives Ottawa a record of 17-11.

Ottawa used the hitting of Shawn Kelly to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Civics on top, 3-0. For the game, Kelly had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Krebsbach told the Ottawa Daily News.
