Victoria second baseman Danny Amerson contributed significantly to his team's 11-9 win over the St. Paul Saints. Amerson went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Vikings. Victoria reliever Adam Ross picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Dario Pena absorbed the loss. Mike Fields earned the save for Victoria.

Kevin Parker had a big 3-run home run for the Vikings in the bottom of the first inning. With Victoria trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Willie Sotelo and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Vikings on top, 3-1.

"Enjoyed this one," Parker told the Victoria Daily News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."

The loss lowers the St. Paul record to 7-17.
