The Bighorn Bison and Montreal Mounties provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Montreal Mounties overcame a good performance by Bighorn first baseman Danny Douglass to knock off Bighorn, 6-5, at Ram Brewery Ballpark. Douglass went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The win was credited to Danny Coyle in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Eric Steinbach took the loss. Jim LeMay earned save number 5 this season.

Montreal used a clutch at-bat from Chris Romanko to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Mounties ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Romanko expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."

The first-place Mounties have a record of 29-16.
