Five O's Edge Past Mustangs, 8-7

The Oconomowoc Five O's and San Angelo Mustangs obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.
The Oconomowoc Five O's weathered an outstanding game by San Angelo left fielder Wilber Locke to topple the Mustangs, 8-7. Locke went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Jimmy Kennedy, 2-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings.
In the bottom of the eighth, Oconomowoc catcher Kurt Schott gave his team the lead. With two out and the bases loaded, Sandman hit his 6th home run of the year. San Angelo pitcher Cesar Galan surrendered it. With that, the Five O's jumped in front, 8-7.
"The positive vibes are all around the clubhouse," said Five O's manager Evan Thorne. "Once you see a player having a good at-bat, that's really contagious."
After losing, San Angelo is 4-19.
