Princes Score Late to Nip Dancin' Outlaws, 5-4
|
Philip Banks Field was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Bel Air Princes and West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws.
The Bel Air Princes dumped the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws, 5-4, in large part due to right fielder Jose Vega. On the day, Vega went 2 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs for the Princes. Rich Blaquiere got the save, the 2nd for him this season.
Bel Air took a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Colin Magne hit a clutch grand slam home run to bring Princes fans to their feet.
"I was a little disappointed," said West Virginia manager Guy de Kleijn. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
The win moves Bel Air to a record of 13-9.
