Carmel second baseman Ryan Schneck had a good game, even if his team did not. The Apples dropped a 7-3 decision to Brisbane at Baylor Ballpark. Schneck was 2-2 with a home run, a triple, and 3 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win has Brisbane at 7-16.
Had Pat Ringler not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Ringler hit a 2-run single. That made the score 5-3, in favor of the Bush Wackers.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Ringler told the Brisbane News.
