Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Quebec Armada and Pennsylvania Butterflies.

Quebec pitcher Jim Curran had a large part in his team beating the Pennsylvania Butterflies, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The winning pitcher was Curran, now 4-2. He tossed 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 7. Picking up his 3rd save was fireballing right-hander Forest Woolfrey.

Luis Farinas went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs for Quebec. The 24-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a 2-run single off Adam Rockwell. It was his 42nd hit of the season.

"It was a good effort all around," said Farinas.

With the win, Quebec pushed its record to 23-20.
