Dancin' Outlaws Rally For Late Win Over River Bandits
|
The West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws trumped the San Antonio River Bandits, 6-3, at Dr Pepper Stadium. West Virginia center fielder Michael Folmer was named player of the game for his performance. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. With the loss, San Antonio drops to 12-12.
West Virginia used the bat of Jesus Santillan to get the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dancin' Outlaws ahead, 5-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Santillan said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
