At Civics Field, the Ottawa Civics and Ocala Knights were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Ocala Knights pounded the Ottawa Civics, 14-2, at Civics Field. Ocala catcher Pedro Lopez had a solid game. He went 4 for 5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5 for the Knights. Kurtis Rumsey, the winner, improved to 2-1. He held the Civics to 1 run on 3 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 9 and walking 2.

With Ocala leading 3-0 in the top of the fourth, Lopez hit a sinker from Adam McMullin for a grand slam home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Knights ahead, 7-0.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Ottawa manager Eduardo Rosário. "We got trounced."

The win gives Ocala a record of 14-4.
