Texans Turn Away Tornadoes, 5-4
The Dallas Texans turned back the Kansas City Tornadoes, 5-4, at Metroplex Park. Eric Johnson, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 2-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Dallas pitcher Ben Nunley earned the win, hiking his record to 3-3. Simon Slama suffered the loss. The Texans raised their record to 17-26.

With the game tied, 4-4, in the bottom of the seventh, Johnson had a key at-bat for Dallas. With a runner on 2nd, Johnson hit a run-scoring single off Simon Slama, making the score 5-4, Texans.

"This was a good win," said Johnson.
