The Memphis Blues beat the San Angelo Mustangs, 6-3. Memphis pitcher and Acapulco, Mexico, native Francisco Rodriguez led the way. Adam Walsh closed the door for Memphis, picking up his 3rd save of the year. San Angelo, at 3-15, has had a dismal start to the season.

The Blues got a big at-bat from third baseman Forrest Suggs. For the game, Suggs went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. In the top of the second, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Memphis a 1-0 lead.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Rodriguez. "It sure beats the alternative."
