The 9-7 Victoria win over Carmel was due largely to Ryan Pruett. The Vikings shortstop was 3-5 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Mike Fields recorded his 3rd save for Victoria. Losses have been rare for the Apples, who are now 12-5.

Kevin Parker helped out the Victoria cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the first baseman drew 1 walk.
