Knights Top Panthers, 5-2, Behind Correa
|
The Ocala Knights picked up a win at Franklin Mountains Field, topping the Charleston Panthers, 5-2. On the mound for Ocala was right-hander Chris Correa. He played a principal role in the triumph. Robert Phillips earned his 3rd save, after closing out the game. With the loss, Charleston is 5-13.
Correa, a native of Nuevitas, Cuba, was dealing all game. He kept Charleston hitters off-balance, while giving the Knights 8 quality innings. Correa threw 121 pitches, allowing 5 hits and striking out 14.
"My job is to go out and execute," said Correa.
