Princes Absorb 7-5 Home Loss
|
The Houston Sting besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Bel Air second baseman Colin Magne by beating the Princes, 7-5, at Philip Banks Field. Magne was 3 for 4 with 2 triples and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The loss drops the Princes to 10-6.
Houston used a well-timed hit by Ernesto Llamas to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Sting ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Llamas said after the game.
