Starting pitcher Jake Nulty gave the Buffalo Bison a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Pennsylvania Butterflies, 3-2, at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium. Nulty yielded 1 run over 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-2. Steve Hoefling closed it out for his 10th save.

Devin Staples had a big run-scoring double for the Bison in the bottom of the third inning. With Buffalo leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Sam Haydon, who is tied for 6th in the TML in quality starts with 5, and swatted a double to left. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bison ahead, 3-1.

"We busted our tails," said Pennsylvania manager Aaron Barnes. "But we came up short."

Buffalo now has a record of 25-25 with the win.
