Parker Slugs Apples to 11-5 Win
Carmel took on Houston in front of a lively crowd.

The Carmel Apples powered past the Houston Sting, 11-5, at Woodland Park. Isaac Parker hit 2 home runs, while adding 8 RBI and scoring twice, to lead the charge. Carmel starter Marty Prado was credited with the win after throwing 116 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 2-0.

With Carmel leading 6-1 in the top of the fifth, Parker came up to bat against Houston pitcher Chris Piotrowski. Parker hit a cutter to left for a grand slam home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Apples on top, 10-1.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Carmel manager Hi-yuan Pan.

The victory makes Carmel 10-6, as the team seeks a return to the playoffs in 2064.
