Bush Wackers Topple Knights, 8-3
|
Bush Wackers left fielder Jose Castillo left his mark on his team's 8-3 win over the Kingwood Knights. Castillo, who is tied for 3rd in the RA in stolen bases with 3, was 1 for 4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for Brisbane in the contest. Brisbane reliever Moises Carreno was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Ryan Grabowski. To call the performance of the 2062 Knights disappointing is an understatement.
Pat Ringler, who is tied for 2nd in the RA in home runs with 4, aided the Brisbane cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second. For the game, the shortstop went 1-3 with 2 walks. He scored 2 times.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Castillo told the Brisbane Daily News.
