Powell Jr. Sensational for River Chiefs
The St. Paul Saints took it on the chin, losing 12-1 to the Chippewa River Chiefs. Boog Powell Jr. pitched a strong game for Chippewa. The win brings the River Chiefs to 7-9, a soft start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.

Powell Jr., the winner, is now 2-1. In 7.2 innings of work, he gave up no earned runs on 4 hits, while collecting 7 Ks. He essentially shut down the St. Paul offense.
