Huntington Station 6-2 Losers to Earthquakes
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 22-year old right fielder Junior Leeney, the San Francisco Earthquakes defeated the Huntington Station Ramrods, 6-2. Junior Baxter picked up the save, his 11th. San Francisco occupies second place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division at 27-18.
The Earthquakes got a big at-bat from center fielder Dylan Robertson. For the game, Robertson was 1-4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 8th double of the season gave San Francisco a 4-2 lead.
Said losing manager Paco Berroa: "'I liked the effort, just not the results."
