Dallas Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
Fans of the Dallas Texans who packed the stands for the home opener were rewarded with a Dallas win over the visiting Cairo Pharaohs, 5-3. Mike Boyle started for the home team against Tony Perkis. Tony Perkis earned accolades for his performance. Dallas reliever Chris Nugent picked up the win to move to 1-0. Kelvin Tolmie suffered the loss.

The decisive blow was delivered by Chris Sawyer in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run home run off 29-year old right-handed pitcher Kelvin Tolmie to win the game for Dallas. The home crowd went nuts.

"This joint was rocking," said Sawyer.
