River Bandits Edge Sting, 2-1
|
Houston pitcher Juan Morales gave the River Bandits all they could handle, but in the end, San Antonio left Woodland Park with a win, 2-1. Morales allowed 2 runs on 2 hits over 6.2 innings. San Antonio reliever Juan Aldana picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Juan Morales took the loss. With the loss, Houston drops to 7-3.
Bill Moraine came through with a big-time hit for San Antonio. The right fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"We leaned on our pitching tonight," Moraine said.
