Magicians Snatch 7-6 Win from Bandits
|
The Baltimore Magicians beat the Brownsville Bandits by a score of 7-6. Baltimore left fielder Aaron Proctor deserved the lion's share of the credit. Proctor went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Magicians. Baltimore reliever Jason Griffith got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Ivan Henriquez was tagged with the loss. The loss drops Brownsville to 6-4.
The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Baltimore trailing 6-5, Proctor jumped on a fastball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Ivan Henriquez and hit a 2-run home run to left. With one swing, the Magicians had a walk-off win.
"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Proctor said.
