The West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws downed the St. Petersburg Pelicans, 9-4, at The Rain Forest. Jalen Salter led the way, going 4-for-5 for West Virginia. West Virginia reliever Jose Sanabria picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Victor Martinez absorbed the loss. The loss lowers the St. Petersburg record to 1-9.

Tim Barrett helped out the West Virginia cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the center fielder drew 2 walks in 5 plate appearances, while scoring 2 times.
