The home crowd had a good time watching the Montreal Mounties and Milwaukee Millers get after it.

A good performance from left fielder John Capanna helped the Milwaukee Millers defeat the Montreal Mounties, 9-5. Capanna was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Millers. Milwaukee occupies 5th place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division at 18-24.

Grant Bruett had a big grand slam home run for the Millers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Milwaukee leading 5-3 and the bases loaded, he sized up a fastball from Kenny Goswick, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2054 draft, and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Millers on top, 9-3.

"The team always comes first," Capanna told a reporter while responding to autograph requests. "Our fans like to come out to see a win, so I'm happy to do what I can to give them that."
