San Francisco second baseman Cody Walters contributed significantly to his team's 9-5 win over the Montreal Mounties. Walters, who is the 6th-best prospect in the Earthquakes organization, went 2 for 3 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Earthquakes. Ryan White went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits. The left-hander struck out 3 and walked 2. With the win, he ups his record to 3-5 this season. The Earthquakes go to 17-25, putting them 6th in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division.

Jason Hart had a big 2-run double for the Earthquakes in the bottom of the fourth inning. With San Francisco trailing 2-1 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a slider from Kyle Peacock, who is tied for 2nd in the TML in strikeouts with 50, and swatted a double to right. It was his 15th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Earthquakes ahead, 3-2.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said San Francisco manager Bill DesMarais.
