The Carmel Apples managed to get by the Oconomowoc Five O's, 5-4, at BLM Stadium. Carmel first baseman Greg Eckelberry set himself apart with his performance. The win lifts Carmel to a record of 4-1.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Eckelberry hit a curveball from Matt Milligan for a run-scoring single. The Apples, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"This place was electric at the end," Eckelberry said.
