Big Day for Velazquez as Jedi Knights Down Warriors, 10-6
The New Orleans Jedi Knights topped the Winfield Warriors, 10-6, with youngster Danny Velazquez playing a key role. Velazquez was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 for the Jedi Knights in the win. New Orleans reliever Jobst Lange picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jim Parish shouldered the loss. Earning his 1st save of the year was Alvaro Morales.

The Jedi Knights got an important contribution from catcher Carlos Aguado, who in the top of the ninth knocked a 2-2 fastball into left for a bases-clearing double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Jedi Knights ahead, 10-6.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Aguado told the New Orleans News.

The Jedi Knights, now 4-2, have played some good baseball in the early going.
