Crosscutters Continue Skid Thanks to Ruiz, Gnats
The Nichols Gnats cruised to a 12-3 win over the Williamsport Crosscutters at Crosscutters Park today. Hugo Ruiz led the way, going 3-for-4 for Nichols. Nichols, at 3-1, is off to a blistering start.

Nichols used the clutch hitting of David Valenzuela to capture the win. The catcher drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Gnats the lead, 4-3. For the game, Valenzuela had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Nichols manager Ken Barrett.
