Anders hits 2nd home run, Leads Lake Monsters to Win
|
The Okanagan Lake Monsters stymied the Sonoma Scorpions, 6-0, at Elks Stadium. David Anders, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 1-1 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for Okanagan. With the win, Okanagan boosts its record to 2-2.
Bill Buckner Jr. contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat that propelled Okanagan to the win.
"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Anders told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
