Lake Monsters Score Late to Upend Panthers, 3-0
|
The Lake Monsters grabbed a win, 3-0, at Franklin Mountains Field, overcoming a fine effort from Charleston pitcher Juan Rivera. Rivera went 8.2 innings and allowed no runs. Alex Ochoa earned the win to go to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts in 8 innings of work. Okanagan sits at 1-2.
Okanagan needed the clutch hitting of A.J. Ragan to notch the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Lake Monsters on top, 3-0. For the game, Ragan had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
