River Bandits Come Up Short at Eugene
The Eugene Emeralds and San Antonio River Bandits played a tight game at Prefontaine Park, with the hosts claiming the hard-fought win.

Eugene Emeralds starter Marcos Jimenez was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the San Antonio River Bandits, 3-2. The Emeralds raised their record to 2-0.

In the bottom of the fourth, with Eugene trailing 2-1, Derek Alexander hit a cutter from Brett Conroy for a 2-run home run, giving the Emeralds the lead, 3-2.

San Antonio manager Jean-Claude Lechat said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
