Levitow Park was the site of the home opener for the Ocala Knights. The contest featured a prime matchup between Lorenzo Ledesma of the visiting Carmel Apples and Dave Perez of the Knights. The final score was 3-1, the Apples getting the win. Dave Perez turned in the best performance.

Isaac Parker had a direct impact on the outcome. Parker contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth inning to put Carmel up, 3-1.

"Every loss hurts," said Ocala manager Alexis Coates. "But this was a tough one."
