The Rock River Rats beat the Spokane Bulldogs, 9-5, at The Kennel. The Rats got a fine performance from right fielder Chris Glowacki, who was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times. Marlon Walton earned the win, while 27-year old right-handed pitcher J.P. Doe took the loss for Spokane. Rock River is now 101-61.

Eric Sabol had a big 2-run home run for the Rats in the top of the fifth inning. With Rock River leading 3-1 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 27-year old right-handed pitcher J.P. Doe and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Rats on top, 5-1.

"I like the makeup of this team," said Rats manager Shunso Sato.
