Pipe Fitters Thrill Fans with 6-5 Win
The Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters in 12 innings downed the Wichita Wolverines, 6-5, at Pipe Fitters Park. Larry Stagg led the way, going 3-for-5 for Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls reliever Pete Wood picked up the win, raising his record to 4-0. Dustin Booth was tagged with the loss. Niagara Falls has run its win streak to 5 in a row.

The decisive blow was delivered by Sam Bridgman in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a run-scoring double off 18-year old right-handed pitcher Dustin Booth to win the game for Niagara Falls. The home crowd went nuts.

"This game will make a man of you," said Bryant Thomas, the Niagara Falls skipper, "if it doesn't kill you first."
