The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats stormed past the Fraser Valley Black Bears, 12-4, at The Coffee Grinder. Buzzard's Bay second basemanGus Ruiz , who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2059 draft, led the hit parade. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The winning continues for Buzzard's Bay, with the latest triumph making it 7 straight.

Aaron McClaskey had a big bases-clearing double for the Beetlecats in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Buzzard's Bay leading 4-3 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from Adam DeVoe, who is tied for 5th in the TAA with a 8.7 K/9 rate, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 35th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Beetlecats ahead, 7-3.

"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager Dorian Payne.
