Silicon Valley 7-4 Losers to Drillers
|
The Beaumont Drillers topped the Silicon Valley Hackers, 7-4, in RCL AA action at Drillers Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Beaumont pitcher Wes Bolduc. Ted Owens, who leads the RAA in holds with 19, picked up the win in relief. Momosuke Egawa took the loss for Silicon Valley. The second-place Drillers now have a win-loss record of 90-71.
Jim Carroll hit a 2-run triple off Momosuke Egawa in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Drillers in front, 6-4. Carroll had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Carroll told the Beaumont Gazette.
