The rain came, as predicted, but the Windsor Royals and Marysville Monarchs were able to complete their ballgame.
Riding the 4-hit performance of the 27-year old shortstop Moises Mogrovejo, the Windsor Royals stopped the Marysville Monarchs, 4-2. Matt Daniello earned the save for Windsor, his 16th.
John Whearty, who is tied for 9th in the RAA with a .527 slugging percentage, helped out the Windsor cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the left fielder went 1 for 3 with a walk. He scored 2 runs.
"We're scuffling right now," said losing manager Angel Gareia.
Windsor has an impressive 109-52 record.
