The San Francisco Earthquakes clobbered the Buffalo Bison, 12-3, at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium. San Francisco third baseman Geoff Raines led the onslaught. He went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. San Francisco now sports a record of 21-27.

Gil Delk had a big 2-run double for the Earthquakes in the top of the second inning. With San Francisco leading 3-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from Jim Wallace, who is tied for 8th in the TML in strikeouts with 50, and swatted a double to right. It was his 22nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Earthquakes ahead, 5-1.

Raines told a San Francisco News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
