5-1 Win Takes Rats to 77-60
|
2062 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Spokane Bulldogs.
Rock River pitcher Manny Irizarry did his part in helping his team beat the Spokane Bulldogs, 5-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Lee Pearl notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.2 innings. His record now sits at 5-2.
Eric Cooper helped out the Rock River cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the left fielder went 2-4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
Cooper attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
The third-place Rats now sit at 77-60.
